Life after the Anthropocene and petrocapitalism may not be easier, but it can certainly be more fun. This section provides insight into the ways in which we are connected with the world and other beings, the importance of examining this connection, and strategies we can use to shape our relationship with nature. Some of the subversive strategies examined in this section seem playful (“El Almuerzo Nudista”), some are quite decolonizingly dark (“The Third World After The Sun”), others are surprisingly tender (“Forplay”). All are bound together by a concern for collective consciousness, empathy, and a kind of harmony with the surrounding reality. After all, we do not inhabit this world alone. We are an integral, if not the most important, part of it. It’s probably worth being aware of this.
